DWP Universal Jobmatch

Universal Jobmatch has replaced the Jobcentre Plus Job Search Tool & Employer Services Direct, These services used to be part of the Directgov online system which had been set up in the UK's New Deal employment system.

Universal Jobmatch is an online job search and matching service provided by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in the UK. The service is designed to help jobseekers find suitable employment and employers to find suitable candidates.

To use Universal Jobmatch, you need to create an account on the GOV.UK website and register as a jobseeker. Once you have created an account, you can search for jobs using keywords, location, and other criteria. You can also set up job alerts to receive notifications about new job postings that match your preferences.

Employers can also use Universal Jobmatch to post job vacancies and search for suitable candidates. To post a job, employers need to create an account and provide details about the job, including the job title, description, location, and salary.

Universal Jobmatch also offers a range of other services, such as CV building tools, interview preparation, and job search advice. The service is free to use and is available to all jobseekers and employers in the UK.

It's worth noting that Universal Jobmatch is due to be replaced by the Find a Job service, which is also provided by the DWP. Find a Job offers similar services to Universal Jobmatch, but with additional features and a more user-friendly interface.

Universal Jobmatch service was introduced as part of a Government campaign to assist the Department for Work & Pensions to monitor client's job search activities directly. and as part of the Digital By Default agenda which intends to migrate more UK citizens to subscribe to the online process when claiming benefits, both unemployment benefit and In Work Universal Credit benefit. This is a free service provided by the DWP to help people find a job where you can search for jobs, and apply for them. You don’t need to register on Universal Jobmatch to search for jobs. But to apply for a job, you need to set up a Universal Jobmatch account.

As Of May 2018 it has now been replaced by the all-new Adzuna
